Youth Exchanges

Since 2008, ERA has both sent youth from Kosovo and hosted several International Youth Exhanges, funded by European Commission's Youth in Action program.

Learn and Explore the Balkans Outdoors was a youth exchange, financed through the European Commision ‘Youth In Action’ Program, that took place in September 2008.  It was a 10-day Youth Exchange held in the diverse cross-border region of Peja/Pec, Kosovo and Plave, Montenegro.  This Youth Exchange engaged 24 youth from Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece and Hungary in outdoor activities that focused on environmental awareness, responsibility, and active European citizenship.  The program included a variety of team-building challenges and built solidarity amongst youth from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, while additionally providing a unique setting for inter-cultural learning and understanding.  The activities range from rock climbing, hiking, camping, teambuilding, round table discussions, to community trade workshops.

Viking Voyagers

Viking Voyagers was a multilateral youth exchange for 25 youth (ages 14-17). The 7-day exchange took place in April 2009 in the beautiful towns and forests of Småland and Skåne in Sweden.
